Duke Still No. 1 in AP Poll, Top 5 Also Intact

Just as it has been for the entire 2010-11 college basketball season, the Duke Blue Devils are the No. 1 team in the nation in the latest AP rankings. Ohio State, Kansas, Connecticut andSyracuse all remained in their respective top five spots, in that order. Duke has been a unanimous No. 1 several times this season, but not this week. Ohio State actually picked up one No. 1 vote, though the Blue Devils did garner the other 64.

Florida was the biggest riser of the week, coming from outside the poll to No. 20.

The other high risers were Purdue (up five spots to No. 14),Georgetown (up five to No. 10), San Diego State (climbing four to No. 7), Missouri (up four to No. 9), Kentucky (up four to No. 13),Minnesota (up four to No. 17), Texas (up four to No. 18).

Also keep an eye on San Diego State, as the Aztecs continue to make school history. They have risen to No. 7 in the poll, topping the previous best ranking in school history (which was last week at No. 11).

Unbeaten Central Florida enters the poll at No. 24. UCF is 10-0 and has in-state Florida and Miami.

After losing at home to Oakland, Tennessee fell the furthest, dropping 12 spots to No. 19. Baylor(down six to No. 15), Illinois (down nine to No. 21) and BYU (down seven to No. 23) also suffered significant drops.
